Well the first metal gears were on the NSX (It think it's MSX actually) japanese console/computer hybrid machine in the 80's. then they were ported to the NES (MG1 and MG2 zanzibar) (snake's revenga was a fan made game). also add the fact that the smash bros. series creator is a longtime friend of hideo kojima so this explains why snake was in the game.

if you're a trophy whore, burnout paradise is pretty easy to get platinum. you only need offline trophies to get the plat.
Dead space too isn't too hard to get platinum, You can get in two playthoughs if i'm correct. however in only 2 playthroughs will make the game way harder.
